Tasks: An opportunity has arisen for an Animal Care Apprentice based in Wirral. You will be dealing with the day to day care of Dogs and Cats that are being boarded at the kennels. You will be dealing with clients of the kennels when they bring their animals in for boarding and also when they come to pick them up. You will be looking after the everyday needs of the animals which will include cleaning up after them, feeding and grooming. You will be also be working in all weathers with a high incidence of being outside.

Essential Criteria: You must be a hard worker and realistic about what working with animals actually entails. You must be punctual, have a good sense of humour where animals are concerned, you may have just washed and cleaned an animal ready for it’s owner to pick it up; only for it to decide that the best place for a roll is in the muck heap. You must have common sense and a love of animals.

Training on Offer: In house training will be provided alongside NVQ Level 2 in Animal Care (Lantra) through Lite Limited.
